The Order Your Life Featured Tip
What did I have to say about long distance moving? The featured tip is Let Someone Else Do the Heavy Lifting.
Decrease moving costs, save your back, and contribute to a good cause by donating furniture, vehicles, and gently used items. Organizations like the Salvation Army, Good Will, and Habitat for Humanity will pick up your donations, for free, and find them a new home.
Salvation Army Truck – Schedule a free pickup.
Goodwill Locator – Find your local Goodwill.
Habitat for Humanity – Find your nearest Habitat ReStore.
Tip Number Two
Although not featured in the article, my second tip is Stand Out with Colors and Numbers.
Color code your boxes, number them, and organize them by room. If you’ve hired a moving company, the color code will stand out and decrease the chances of your belongings being left behind or mixed with someone else’s. Grouping your boxes by room makes it more likely that those boxes will be placed close together on the moving truck, which will help you (or your movers) put things in the right places when they are unloaded at your new home.
Color Coded Moving Labels – Color code with style.
Moving Checklists – Plan like a pro.
Moving Box Inventory – Make a list and check it twice.
