Happy Superhero Day!
In 1995, Marvel Comics employees created National Superhero Day. Superhero Day is a day for honoring fictional superheroes as well as the real superheroes in our lives.
FACT: You don’t have to wear a cape to be a hero or a heroine.
FACT: You don’t have to have laser beam sight or telekinetic powers.
FACT: You don’t have to save the world from imminent alien destruction.
Every day, ordinary people show their extraordinary powers. You have extraordinary powers. We all do.
Having the will and fortitude to survive, thrive, and strive each day makes you a hero.
Standing up for what’s right, even when you stand alone, makes you a hero.
Accepting defeat with poise and grace, then rising to try again, makes you a hero.
Heroes and heroines abound. They are in plain sight. They live within each of us.
Release your inner superhero today. Let him or her shine for all the world to see.
