What is chaos?
Is it your work life? Your home life?
The waves of the ocean? The cluster of clouds floating across the sky?
Depending on your point of view, chaos is all of these things. Or none of them.
Chaos is a confused, disorderly mess.
Yet underneath the unpredictability, chaos has a pattern.
The actions of your coworker form a behavioral pattern.
Each season has a weather pattern.
The universe, with all of its randomness, is actually many connected, ordered patterns.
At the height of the storm, you may find it easy to focus on the disadvantages of chaos and disorder.
Nothing is going right. You can’t find what you’re searching for. You are frozen in place and you can’t think.
You may feel frustrated, exhausted, and lost. You may even be angry.
But at the eye of every storm, there is calm. Your goal is to find the calm.
Find the pattern.
Find the calmness beneath the ocean waves. Find the quiet in the eye of the hurricane.
Once you find the calm – once you learn the pattern – turn chaos into an opportunity.
Conquering chaos has advantages: Growth. Reflection. Learning.
There is a sense of accomplishment, of relief, in surviving the turbulence of a hectic situation.
Chaos and disorder are part of life. Don’t let them conquer you.
Turn pandemonium into possibility.
